Who are the Beer City Sisters

The Beer City Sisters, Abbey of All Souls, are a Fully Professed House of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. A group of 21st Century nuns dedicated to the promulgation of universal joy and the expiation of stigmatic guilt. Our ministry is one of public manifestation and habitual perpetration. No more guilt!

Sister Margarita del Encanto and her husband, Guard Chester Cub, founded the Beer City Sisters in July 2016 after moving from Jacksonville, FL where they were part of The First Coast Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. As founding members of the FCS they felt in love with all the work done for the community in Jacksonville and decided to continue this in their new town of Asheville, NC.

In 2019 Margarita and Guard Chester left the Sisters. Conjea De La Vega stepped in as interim Abbess. Later that year Wilma Holeburn was elected as Abbess and served for two years. Dahmit Janet was elected as Abbess starting in 2022.

Today the group grows along with the passion and dedication to support the community.
